• วัดอัสคิริยา ที่พระอุบาลี จากกรุงศรีอยุธยา เคยเป็นพระอุปัชฌาย์บวชพระภิกษุชาวสิงหล จนเกิดนิกายสยามวงศ์มาจนทุกวันนี้
นอราเลีย ชมสวนสีดา สวนแห่งวรรณคดี ซึ่งทศกัณฐ์นำนางสีดา มากักขังไว้พบกับรรยากาศอันสดชื่น งดงามเขียวชอุ่มด้วยไร่ชา บนยอดเขาสูง ๗,๐๐๐ ฟุต อันเป็นที่พักตากอากาศอันสวยงาม และมีชื่อเสียงที่สุดในเอเชีย.

Program of the Pilgrimage tour to Sri Lanka

Day 01 Airport/Negombo (21 February, 2007)
Arrive at the Colombo Airport and transfer to
Negombo. Stay overnight at the DOLPHIN RESORT,
( 4 1/2 star ++) the best hotel in Negombo.
Negombo is located close to the Airport and is a
Sea-side resort area. The drive time from the airport to
Negombo is about 35 minutes. The Hotel is located
right on the beach and we have reserved the Deluxe
rooms in the main building, facing the Indian Ocean.

Day 02 Negombo/Anuradhapura (22 February, 2007)
After breakfast we will leave for Anuradhapura. Lunch will
be served before 11.30 a.m. After lunch, we visit Mihintale,
then return to Anuradhapura to visit the Swarnamali Chaitiya,
Thuparama, and the Mirisawetiya Dagoba
(all of which were built during the 2nd Century AD).
Later in the evening we visit the " Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi"
tree, the worlds oldest documented tree which is over
2,500 years old. This is a sapling of the same Bo Tree
under which the Lord Buddha attained Enlightenment.
Dinner and an overnight stay will take place at the PALM
GARDEN VILLAGE HOTEL ( 4 star).


Anuradhapura is the 1st Capital of the Island serving as capital from
the 4th to the11th Century AD. The drive time to Anuradhapura
from Negombo is around 3 1/2 hours (including stops).

Day 03 Anuradhapura/Aukana/Dambulla (23 February, 2007)
After breakfast, we leave for Aukana. The drive time
to Aukana from Anuradhapura is about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The Aukana Buddha statue is 13 meters
in height and was built by King Datusena in the 5th
century.

Lunch will be served at a restaurant in Dambulla before 11.30.
After lunch, we visit the Dambulla Cave Temples of the
1st century AD. We will see paintings on the walls dating
back to the 1st century and also hundreds of Statues of
the Lord Buddha in 04 caves.
Next, we proceed to the KANDALAMA HOTEL for dinner and
an overnight stay (5 star)

Day 04 Dambulla/Matale/Kandy (24 February, 2007)
After breakfast we leave for Matale.
The drive time is about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
We will visit the Alu Vihare, the 2nd Century Cave
Temple and continue to Kandy for lunch.
After lunch, we visit the Royal Botanic Gardens and the
Market area.
Kandy was the last Kingdom of the Sri Lankan Kings
before it was handed over to the British by treaty
on the 15th march 1815.
Kandy is one of the most picturesque cities on the
Island - located on the foothills of the high rise
Mountain range. It is the most holy city in Sri Lanka,
as it holds the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Lord Buddha
at the Temple of the Tooth Relic. The Sacred Tooth Relic was
brought to Kandy in 1590.
Dinner and an overnight stay will be provided at the MAHAWELI
REACH HOTEL (5 stars)

Day 05 Kandy (25 February, 2007)
We will have Breakfast at Hotel. Then we visit both Maha Nayaka's,
Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic of the Lord Buddha. We will make offerings at the Buddha statue. We will have lunch at a Restaurant.
Dinner and an overnight stay will be provided at the MAHAWELI
REACH HOTEL.

Day 06 Kandy/Nuwara Eliya (26 February, 2007)
After breakfast, we leave for Nuwara Eliya.
The drive time to Nuwara Eliya is about 3 1/2 hours
(with stops).
Nuwara Eliya is located 2,200 meters above the
sea level and the drive is breathtaking with beautiful
Mountain scenery, water falls and a tea plantation.
The climate in Nuwara Eliya is cool during this time
of year and it drops down to about 09 degrees at night.
We visit the Tea Factory/Estate and water falls.
We will have lunch at a Restaurant.
When we arrive at Nuwara Eliya and visit the city,
dinner and an overnight stay will be provided at the
GRAND HOTEL.
Day 07 Nuwara Eliya/ /Colombo (27 February, 2007)

After breakfast we leave for Colombo via Avissawella
The drive time from Bandarawela is about 3hours (with
stops). We will make offerings to the Buddha statue at Balangoda.
Lunch will be served at a restaurant.
Then we drive to Colombo. The drive time about 2 1/2 hours.
There will be a ceremony involving making offerings to the Buddha statue.
Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the TAJ SAMUDRA HOTEL
(5 star)
Day 08 Colombo/Airport (28 February, 2007)
After breakfast, we travel to the airport.
The drive time to the airport is about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
